No time to explain. So, let me sum up.

Don't mind me. I'm just here pretending that I keep this blog up to date.

For those of you who are not me and would like to what's been going on in Luke's little life, there is a short answer and a long answer.

Here's the short one: Click here to see the slideshow

Halloween

For those of you expecting a chronological recounting of history, I'm afraid disappointment awaits ... for that's not how my hard drive or my sick mind is laid out.

Anyhoo, since Luke was too young to pick out his outfit this year, Sue picked on for him. You can tell that he JUST LOVES IT. You can't?

New Years Eve

New Years Eve was spent @ the Matechaks. The Harts & Nikores were there too. Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures of them.

The boy is bundled up for his 5 minute journey to the Matechaks.

Luke did not take to the role of "Baby New Year". He's not a big fan of hats. Sorry, mom. Looks like he won't grow up to be Pope.

After a while, we put Luke up in Paul's room. Here are me & Sue after two whole beers! I think we were home & in bed by 11:30 PM. WooHoo! Another wild night!

Time to start catching up

Four score & seven years ago .... err .... about ten months & seven good nights of sleep ago Luke was born. And about 6 months ago was the last blog entry. So let me start to catch you up on what you've missed.
Christmas:
Look what I found under the tree! Just what I wanted!
And Carol got to be an Aunt.
Mom never used to play with my toys before. Hmmm...
The cousins. Trouble now comes in 3 flavors: Jacqueline, Nathan & Luke.
Xmas is hard work. The boys needed to rest up for dinner.
Sometimes, waking up is hard to do. Wasn't that a Neil Sedaka song?
Merry Xmas from Sue, Luke & Tigger.

Happy 1/3rd Birthday!

Today at around 11:15 Luke turned 0.3333333... years old (that's 4 months for you folks that prefer integers).

To celebrate we went out and got a Christmas tree. It was cold, so we had to bundle up the guy.

The boy was a bit confused about having to share the backseat with a tree.

But that wasn't as strange as his new toy, the "Bumbo". It's supposed to help him learn to sit up. At this point, he just lists to starboard.

Pictures on my mobile phone

I think this mobile phone thing is going to catch on. At first, it seemed like it was just a fad like ... you know ... the internet. Well let me tell you. It's here to stay.

Why, you ask?

Two words: thin, wallets

Being the average proud father, I have roughly 11,763 pictures of Luke that you MUST see.

Really.

Hey! Where you going? Only 9,536 to go!

Anyway, I already have a wallet that needs to go on a diet. You see, women have purses and I have ... a wallet. So, I try to fit everything in there. You know - cash, cards, 6 weeks of receipts, that email I was going to read on the way home from work, ect...

Thus, I only have room for 686 pictures in there.

INSUFFICIENT!!!!

How am I to whittle down such an array of cuteness to only a mere handful of 1" x 2" snapshots!?

"No worries mate", as they say in the land of upside-down. My phone not only takes pictures, it also lets me store them. Therefore, when I'm not busy assaulting you with another 257 moments of adorableness, I can reload for the next onslaught.

You have been warned.

Anyway, below are some of my favorites that are on the phone right now. Now, if I could only fit the damn thing in my wallet.....

This is the background on my phone & work PC. This picture is about 2 months old. He'll soon be growing out of his "bouncy chair". His feet hang over the edge when he stretches his legs.

The boy is above average in height and weight, but he's not so good w/ tummy time. Here's a rare moment when he was not face-planted on the matt.

Luke & Clara the cow. What more needs to be said?

The boy discovers his thumb. Mmmmmmm. Thuuuuuumb. But he still likes the pacifier too.

This is an old one. Here he's probably only 2 or 3 weeks old. Looks like I got the beta version perfect, Eh? Damn, I'm a good engineer! Get out the shrink wrap & ship it.

Apparently, September 6th was a sunny day.

We propped him up & turned around a minute later and noticed he was OUT! That doesn't look too comfortable.

Here are Luke & Sue during the flight to Providence, Rhode Island to see Eve Formisano (the maid of honor at our wedding) get hitched. Mom and boy were well behaved on the flight. The boy made nary a peep. The mom, however; was quite chatty.

Apparently, the best pizza in Providence at 2 AM is the WORST PIZZA IN THE WORLD.

What you talkin' about Willis?

Luke Comes Home

Today is our second full day w/ Luke at home. Its good to be home, but sometimes I miss all the help we had at the hospital. Whenever we had a question or a concern, I'd could just walk out to the nurses' desk to get an answer.

Sure enough, if there were 6 nurses there, I'd get 6 answers/opinions. Fortunately, one of them would work. I'm getting the feeling that most of parenting is improvising. Needless to say, we are now performing on the baby trapeze without a net.

Yesterday was also eventful, because the most of the landscaping was installed. This is how it looks now.
This is how it looked a few weeks ago.

Today, Grandma Kathleen visited Luke in his new digs.

Luke is anxious to show off his new crib to Grandma Barbara when she visits next week.
